VASER Assisted Fat Grafting (V.A.F.G)
By using lower energy settings on the Vaser probe, one may loosen the fat cells while minimizing damage to the delicate cells. The fat thus loosened can be easily removed by a process of gentle liposuction using Vent-X cannulae and re-grafted (injected in a specific way) to other areas where fat is more desirable. This is called Vaser assisted fat grafting.
VAFG is successful in various areas of the body such as breasts, buttocks, hands, wrinkle lines, depressions around the upper thighs and outer buttocks. It is also used to correct deformities following injuries, unsatisfactory prior liposuctions etc. There is evidence that fat grafting can improve the healing in non-healing wounds and in radiation ulcers.
VASERlipo™
VASERlipo is a precise and minimally invasive liposuction procedure which aims at weight reduction and improving the shape of your body. This procedure is targeted to specific fat tissues and does not damage the surrounding tissues. VASERlipo can be performed on different parts of the body including the neck, abdomen, ankles, thighs, back, arms, knees, chin and chest.
This procedure is performed under local anesthesia. During this procedure, small probes are inserted through small incisions which produce a pulsed ultrasound used to liquefy and remove the fat. The fat cells are removed with the help of cannulas (small tubes). This procedure can take about 1 hour to a few hours for treatment based on which parts of your body are being treated. You will be asked to wear compression garments to help your skin fit into the new body shape.
