VASERlipo™
VASERlipo™ is a precise and minimally invasive liposuction procedure which aims at localized fat reduction and improves the shape of your body. This procedure is targeted to specific fat tissues and does not damage the surrounding tissues. It is therefore called “liposelective”.
Liposelection by VASERlipo™ can be performed on different parts of the body including the neck, under-chin, arms, chest, abdomen, thighs, (saddle bags, banana rolls, inner thigh bulges), back, inner knees, and calf areas. Some cases of heavy breasts can also be reduced and lifted without scars.
This procedure is performed under local anesthesia with sedation; general anesthetic is used sometimes. Dilute local anesthetic solution is first injected in order to ‘wet’ the fat thoroughly. Ultrasound energy or high frequency Vibration [the V in Vaser] is applied to the tissues using specially fabricated titanium probes. These Vaser probes come in different sizes and configurations. They are inserted through mini incisions of 2-3 millimeters. The energy is carried from the tip of the probes to the fat cells by the watery medium leading to selective emulsification of the fat cells.
The emulsified fat cells are removed by using hollow suction cannulas in a gentle liposuction process. We use the Vent-X patented cannulae along with Vaser 2.0 technology for the best cutting edge selective fat removal process. These cannule further advance the gentle removal concept by being less traumatic.
The advantages of ‘liposelection’ by VASER are:
- Speedy recovery after surgery
- Easy removal of large amounts of fat
- Less damage to other structures
- Better skin shrinking
- Smoother retraction of your skin
- Refined appearance of underlying muscles
However, like all procedures VASERlipo™ may be associated with post-operative side effects such as swelling, numbness in the skin and bruising. Rarely there may be minor trauma at the entry points (due to the Vaser energy) but these heal with time.
